AKAER BRINGS NEWS TO FARNBOROUGH 2022

The company will present its innovations in UAS, solutions for nano/micro satellites and modernization for both aircraft and combat vehicles.

After four years, one of the largest international fairs in the Aerospace sector, Farnborough international Airshow (FIA), takes place again in 2022. The event will take place between the 18th and 22nd of July, in England, presenting to the world the greatest innovations for the segment. Among the Brazilian exhibitors will be the company Akaer, with a range of high-tech products and solutions.

Always up-to-date with the national and international market, Akaer participates in important fairs to demonstrate its technological capabilities and to be attentive to the news and demands of the current scenario. In the last edition of Farnborough, in 2018, the company was also present.

Akaer Highlights at Farnborough

  • UAS

The company will demonstrate its UAS project for land and naval reconnaissance, which can be configured for other types of missions. The platform has large internal compartments which, added to its hard points, allow the transport of a payload that can be composed of sensors and attack systems.

Through its innovative design and long flight autonomy, this system stays on the operating area for many hours, fully meeting the multiple needs of its operator.

“We have the full capacity to develop unmanned solutions covering the entire development cycle, from conception, design, systems integration, testing and certification”, says Aldo da Silva Junior, Vice President of Marketing and Sales at Akaer .

According to Aldo, what Akaer will present at the fair is just one example of the company’s unmanned solutions in this segment. “We develop aircraft that meet complex requirements from our customers: from intelligence missions, surveillance, to even tasks that require operational employment of weapons systems.”

  • Aircraft Modifications and Modernizations

Among the packages of services provided, we highlight the modification solutions which make changes to structures, primary mechanisms, develop new interiors and install equipment and systems. All these activities are fully applicable to commercial, VIP and military aircraft, both rotary and fixed wing.

For the modernizations, we highlight the work done with the P3 Orion of the Brazilian Air Force for the patrol of the Brazilian coast, in which it underwent a complete process of revitalization of its wings, thus prolonging the useful life of this important aerial surveillance platform.

“Akaer has a long history regarding the revitalization of the most varied aerial platforms, whether civil or military, adapting their use to the new challenges of our customers”, says Cesar Silva, CEO of Akaer.

  • Satellites

For the segment of nano and micro satellites for remote observation of targets, Akaer will present its new camera, which has among its applications the generation of high resolution images for the detection of movement of contingents such as troops and armored vehicles.

In addition, the company has full capacity to develop other technologies used in this sector, such as: signal processing and payload control, conception and design of complete space missions, space systems engineering, among others.

  • Modernization of combat vehicles

The company is also showing its new armored fighting vehicle modernization program, thereby increasing their useful lives.

Among the possible modernization packages, we highlight the possibility of implementing new engines, revitalizing the suspension, installing automated control towers to improve situational awareness, replacing optical sights with state-of-the-art optronics for target search and aiming and installation of anti-tank missile launchers.

One of the highlights is the possibility of installing modern shooting computers to perform all ballistic calculations and another command and control computer which will analyze in real time the environmental parameters that may interfere with the execution of the missions.
