Akaer won the National Innovation Award 2018/2019 edition in the categories Product Innovation and Organizational Innovation, in the Medium Enterprise categorie. The Award is an Entrepreneurial Mobilization for Innovation (Mobilização Empresarial pela Inovação – MEI) initiative, carried out by the National Industry Confederation (Confederação Nacional da Indústria – CNI) and the Brazilian Micro and Small Business Support Service (Serviço Brasileiro de Apoio às Micro e Pequenas Empresas – SEBRAE).
Finalist in 4 of the 5 categories of the 2018/2019 edition, Akaer was confirmed as winner in 2 categories on June 10th, during a ceremony held during the 8th Innovation Congress.
In addition to winning the awards in the categories Product Innovation and Organizational Innovation, the company received two honorable mentions for Processes Innovations and Innovation Management.
The Product Innovation category evaluates the introduction of new or significantly improved goods or services in terms of their intended characteristics or uses, which have provided positive impacts to the business (check out our Slim 22/250 Dump Body and our E3UCAM nanosat camera). The Organizational Innovation category evaluates the implementation of new or significantly improved organizational methods, including business practices, organization of the workplace or its external relations, which have a positive impact on the business.
Finally, Process Innovation reffers to the implementation of new or significantly improved production methods and / or distribution methods, which have provided positive impacts to the business and the Innovation Management category recognizes the organizations that, through the implementation of processes, methods, techniques and tools of innovation management, produce a profitable environment for the generation of innovations.
The methodology adopted by the National Innovation Award follows international standards and includes four stages: self validation; virtual validation; technical visit; and selection. The objective of the award is to encourage and recognize the successful efforts of innovation and innovation management in the organizations that operate in Brazil.
